Biblical Principles

Our church is guided and shaped by 8 Biblical principles.  We hold these core values to be the center of our ministries:

God's Word

God has given His Word, the Bible, to us as our foundation and guide for living.  As a result, we are committed to powerful Biblical teaching as the catalyst for transformation in the lives of individuals and the church.

"All scripture is God-breathed and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting and training in righteousness, so that the man of God may be thoroughly equipped for every good work."

II Timothy 3:16-17

Prayer

God commands His people to pray, and He hears and answers prayer.  Therefore, we are committed to leading our people to seek God with all their hearts, both individually and corporately.

"Devote yourselves to prayer, being watchful and thankful."

Colossians 4:2

Living by Faith

God is faithful, and He calls His people to trust Him and follow Him wherever He leads.  Consequently, we are committed to acting on the revealed will and Word of God, regardless of circumstances or consequences.

"Without faith, it is impossible to please God, because anyone who comes to Him must believe that He exists and that He rewards those who earnestly seek Him."

Hebrews 11:6

Biblical Community

God intends for strong, loving relationships to permeate every aspect of the church.  Therefore, we are committed to going deep in relationships and serving one another with the attitude modeled for us by Jesus Christ.

"…make my joy complete by being like-minded, having the same love, being one in spirit and purpose. Do nothing out of selfish ambition or vain conceit, but in humility consider others as more important than yourselves. Each of you should look not only to your own interests, but also to the interests of others. Your attitude should be the same as that of Christ Jesus."

Philippians 2:2-5

Spiritual Development

God has placed in every true believer a desire to grow spiritually.  As a result, we are committed to helping individuals identify and take the next step toward maturity in Christ.

"We proclaim Him, admonishing and teaching everyone with all wisdom so that we may present everyone perfect in Christ.  To this end I labor, struggling with all the energy that so powerfully works in me."

Colossians 1:28-29

Worship

God has chosen to work through leaders to equip His people for the task of ministry.  As a result, we are committed to developing, mobilizing and following leaders that are gifted and directed by the Spirit of God.

"It was He Who gave some to be apostles, some to be prophets, some evangelists, and some to be pastors and teachers, to prepare God’s people for works of service, so that the body of Christ may be built up."

Ephesians 4:11-12

People

Because of our calling, we are committed to reach people in our community, our state, our country and the world with the life-changing gospel of Jesus Christ.

"For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish, but have everlasting life."

John 3:16
